A handmade cowboy knife built for ranch and field work, featuring a rasp steel drop-point blade, a full tang with a finger-ring pommel for cutting control, a resin-cast pine cone handle, and a hand-tooled leather pancake sheath.
Why Is Our Rasp Steel Ranch Knife Built for Field Control?
Our Handmade Rasp Steel Ranch Knife pairs a full-tang blade with a finger-ring pommel, giving the hand a secure anchor point during repeated cutting, skinning, and field-dressing strokes. The 4-inch drop-point blade is forged from reclaimed farrier's rasp steel, and the handle is a resin-cast pine cone, so the grain pattern inside the resin is unique to each knife.
The knife measures approximately 8.5 inches overall. Because rasp steel starts life as a farrier's file, faint file-tooth marks often remain visible along the spine, a small trace of the blade's working history.
Riders and ranch hands can browse more working blades in our Rasp Steel collection.
